What a supplier is owed is the sum of the Accounts Payable lines tagged with them. There is no balance column to go stale, so the list, the profile and the ledger cannot disagree.

Every payable names its counterparty
Entries on a personal account are required to name the party they belong to, enforced when the entry is written. That is what makes a statement answerable.

Receiving and paying both post
A delivery on account raises the payable; a payment clears it against the cash or bank account it came from. Neither is a manual journal somebody has to remember.

Signed-in users reach this module at /dashboard/bookkeeping/suppliers. Access depends on the role your System Administrator assigned — permissions are checked on every request, so a role that cannot use a module cannot reach it by URL either. The roles are listed on the about page.
